Oily skin is always troublesome to deal and people who have an oily skin only they know how painful it is. Oily skin causes different skin problems such as blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. It is right to say that having oily skin is frustrating.

According to the experts, oily skin is the result of too much overproduction of sebum from sebaceous glands.  Sebum is one kind of oily substance helps to protect skin from harshness. Also, it moisturizes skin. However, too much sebum leads to oily skin.

Oilskin is sensitive skin and difficult to handle. It needs extra and proper care. Without caring it, you will not get flawless skin anymore. Some home remedies are proven to be useful in this case. Here are some helpful home remedies for managing your oily skin

Egg Whites

Egg whites can be extremely beneficial for oily skin. It helps to dry your skin. Take egg white and whip it well. Apply this paste to your skin and let it dry. Wash it with warm water. Apply this twice a week. You can also make a paste of egg white and lemon juice. Whip one egg white and add few drops of lemon juice in it. Apply this paste to your skin and leave it for 15 minutes. The paste will soak up excess oil from your skin.

Cucumber Paste

Take half of the cucumber and mash it well. Add the half cup of yogurt, half cup lemon juice, and few mint leaves. Mix the ingredients properly and make a paste. Apply this paste to your skin and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water. This paste will reduce oil level from the surface and your skin will look fresh.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal helps absorbing excess oil and also helps exfoliate dead skin. Take half cup of ground oatmeal and add warm water to make a paste. Add a tablespoon of honey to it. Apply this paste to your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Clean your face with warm water.

Almond Paste

Almond is another useful ingredient that can absorb excess oil from the skin. Take 3 tablespoons of crushed almond. Add 2 tablespoon of honey in it. Apply this paste to your skin and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it with warm water.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix equal amount of Apple Cider Vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray it on your face. It is a good toner for oily skin.

Yogurt

Yogurt helps exfoliate your skin and also absorb extra oil from it. Apply one tablespoon of yogurt in your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Do it daily for a better result. You can also mix ground oatmeal with yogurt and make a paste. Add few drops of warm honey into the paste. Apply this mixture in your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse it with warm water.

Tomatoes are great for oily skin. Cut half of the tomato into pieces. Rub the fleshes in your skin. Leave it for 15 minutes. Clean your skin with cold water. After that, apply a light moisturizer cream on your skin.

Using these home remedies will help you a lot to get rid of oily skin. But if you have allergy in any ingredient listed above do not use that face mask. Other than that, clean your skin regularly in a proper way. Drink 7 to 8 glasses of water daily and add vegetables to your daily meal as much as you can. Thus you will be able to manage your oily skin without having difficulties.
