Bacteria, virus, and parasites mostly trigger food poisoning. Most of the cases of food poisoning naturally include some symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and weakness. Food poisoning is risky for pregnant women, older adult, infants, and people with chronic disease.

Usually, you can treat food poisoning at home. There are some home remedies that can help you to treat it naturally. Try these swift fixes to treat food poisoning at home.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The antibacterial properties of Apple Cider Vinegar help kill bacteria that cause food poisoning. It is also a good source of minerals and enzymes that can help your body to be stable after food poisoning attack.

Add two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to one glass of warm water. Mix them well. Drink it at least once a day.

Ginger

For centuries, ginger has been used as home remedy for treating various types of digestive problems. Ginger has excellent healing and preventive properties that helps in digestion. It can give instant relief to you from nausea and vomiting.

Drink ginger tea after your meal. Take little amount of grated ginger and boil it into the water for few minutes. Add sugar or honey according to your taste.

Also, you can take raw ginger slices to heal your upset stomach.

Lemon

Lemon is a rich source of antibacterial properties that can kill bacteria. It also gives you instant relief from a stomach bug.  Take one teaspoon of lemon juice and sprinkle a little bit of sugar to it. Take it 2 to 3 times daily.

Besides, you can add one tablespoon of lemon juice to warm water and drink it to clear out your digestion system.

Garlic

Antibacterial properties of garlic can destroy the foodborne pathogens. It can relieve symptoms such as stomach pain and diarrhea. Take two or three peeled and minced garlic cloves and mix it with honey. Consume it once or twice a day.

Also,  you can make garlic oil and mix it with soybean oil.  Rub this on your stomach after having your daily meal. Furthermore, if you can bear its smell, chew on fresh garlic cloves.

Basil

Basil is an excellent herb in fighting food poisoning due to its antibacterial properties. It helps to soothe the abdominal uneasiness due to food poisoning.

Take a teaspoon of basil juice and combine it with one teaspoon of honey. Take this mixture as soon as possible. Additionally, you can add few drops of basil juice to a cup of water. Consume it 3 to 4 times a day.

Moreover, add few drops of basil juice with cardamom powder. It will cleanse the system.

Honey

Honey can do wonders to heal stomach cramps. Take a teaspoon of honey thrice a day. Also, you can add honey with herbal tea and lemon juice to prevent your health condition from worsening.
