After doing the skincare for the summer season, I felt the happiness of achieving something for myself. Taking care of my skin is an essential part of living healthy. So, here are some of my advice to you that will make you feel beautiful.
Tips and Advice
The best way to conquer each season is to know what tips on skincare are. There are various ways for the protection of skin, and you can have the best of it as you read along.
Facewash has to change.
As the season changed, I have different face wash during summer. After cold weather, a nourishing face wash does the trick. But in summer, you would require a face wash that can draw out the excess oil from your skin. If you have dry skin, consider using a non-foaming cleanser. It would be ideal for combination skin as well. Wash your face plenty of times during the day to keep your skin clean and refreshed.
Give enough antioxidant.
To relieve stress, I include antioxidants serum and apply gently to your skin during summer. Aside from hydration of skin, it can also protect your skin from environmental damage. It helps to boost collagen production and will scavenge harmful free radicals to prevent skin damage. One of our skincare routines can take care of combination from ordinary to oily skin during summer.
Invest to Hydrate
Masks than can give you hydration are an investment to protect and keep your skin hydrated. When I apply it after cleaning my face, I feel the repair, rehydrate and soothing to my skin. A mask can treat specific skin conditions like dryness, acne, oil, etc. Pick the appropriate mask and spend those 10 extra minutes on wiping away the stress, fatigue, and blemishes from your skin.
Exfoliate for Smoother Skin
One of my favorite skincare is to exfoliate. I do exfoliation regularly to remove dull skin and piled up dead cells. By doing this, the skin can breathe and transform into brighter and smoother skin. When I am doing exfoliation, I used some natural ingredients like coffee ground mixed with oil and sea salt. However, when doing this skincare, you have to be gentle while massaging to your skin. Also, people with sensitive skin should look for mild exfoliators which have smaller bids.
SPF against UVA and UVB Rays
Protection against UVA and UVB rays is essential. That is why, as part of my skincare, I always bring my sunscreen with 30-50 SPF. During summer, wind and sunburn occur, and that is why I make sure to apply every three hours. Primarily when on the beach, I use sunscreen to cover my hands, feet, shoulders and neck as well.
Wear Natural Shade Makeup
When I say natural shade makeup, I also mean just put on minimal makeup. Especially during summer, humidity and heat make my skin stress. So adding makeup can make it worse.
Toner for Less Oil
Using a toner to refresh your skin is one way to close open pores. Summer heat is annoying. Other than making our skin dry, it also triggers the oil production in our skin. So to prevent it, I use toner. My concerned area for toner is the t-zone. This zone is where the largest concentration of sebaceous glands. But let me tell you that I don’t use a toner in a bottle. My toner is cucumber or aloe vera to add more refreshing look.
Less Greasy Moisturizer
Like the toner, I also change my moisturizer during summer. It is one of my skincare tips. Always change makeup, moisturizer and toner, depending on the weather conditions. So, I have to ditch the heavy cold creams and shea butter moisturizer when summer comes. My alternatives are a lighter moisturizer.
Water is the Best Therapy
My best skincare tip is to drink enough water to keep the skin hydrated from inside. It is also essential to flush the toxins from the skin through sweat and urine. So, don’t forget to hydrate yourself with water. You need this, especially during summer.
