Eating with hands have a different take from other cultures. When they heard eating with hands, they seemed to judge it unclean, barbaric and taboo. But when I went to Asian countries, eating with hands is the perfect healthy way to eat food.

Eating with hands or commonly known as Kamayan is not only a practical way of eating your food. It is a way to blend with the cultures of certain people. It breaks social boundaries and a better way of enjoying your meal.

When I look more rooted in eating with hands, I found some health benefits and it really “wow” me. Since then, I tried to eat using my hands to enjoy the healthful benefits in our health.

Eating with hands is better than using utensils. It is true because of the simple reason that you wash your hands multiple times a day while we clean the utensils once a day. We are conscious of the cleanliness of our hands, and before we use it for eating, we are sure that it is 100% germ-free.


We do multiple tasks with our hands. We can pick up things, scratch, feel, touch, make it into a claw shape and pick up small stuff or big stuff, hold water without dropping it. But we cannot use our hands while drinking soup or any food made from liquid.

Exfoliating Scalp

Girls, who regularly exfoliate their skin, might get confused to know about exfoliating scalp. It is noteworthy to give your scalp an exfoliation massage to get rid of remaining dirt, oils, and product build-up. They hinder regular blood circulation in your scalp that leads to hair thinning.

Take 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, two tablespoons of ground oatmeal and little amount of hair conditioner. Mix the ingredients well. Before using this mixture to your scalp, shampoo your hair. After that, apply this mask to your scalp and massage it for few minutes. Rinse it with cold water.

Likewise, Baking soda can curb build-up and unblocks clogged hair follicles. Take 1 tablespoon of baking soda and mix it with 1 tablespoon of shampoo. Rub your scalp with this paste for 1 minute. Wash it off and after that, rinse your hair again with shampoo and conditioner.


To get natural and beautiful skin, you need to keep it moisturized and hydrated. Besides, exfoliation is significant to get a youthful and healthy look that you have always fantasized about.

Baking soda is quite a mild exfoliate. Take two teaspoons of baking soda and mix it with your favorite cleanser. Gently rub this mixture on your face for few minutes. Rinse it off with warm water. Buffing up your dead skin will moisturize your face.

Lemon contains alpha hydroxic acid that takes out dead skin cells. Take a half cup of lemon juice and add 1 teaspoon of apple juice, few drops frappe juice and 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Combine all the ingredients and apply this face mask to a face with cotton ball. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.


Many girls always forget to take care of hands. They become dry and chap with cracks due to sun exposer, daily tasks, pollution, and weather changing.

Take a cup of mashed potato, peeled and boiled. Mix two tablespoons of milk and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to it. Apply this mixture to your hand and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it off with baby soap.


Rough feet are always unpleasant to look at, and you cannot wear your branded shoes having bumpy feet. An indulging foot massage with a natural scrubber will give you soothing feeling of apt foot care.

Take a banana and mash it well. Add a tablespoon of honey to it. Apply this paste to your feet and leave it for 10 minutes. Start filling down rough patches with a pumice stone.
