And when the sun is too hot, I never regret using avocado oil for my skin because it prevents irritation and inflamed skin.

You do not need to worry about the residue of oil in your skin. The avocado oil balances the oil absorption in your skin. It keeps your skin hydrated and calms the sunburned skin. The avocado nutrients enhance the shine and protect the hair from getting brittle and less likely for breakage over time.

Hair Moisturizer

I get it that sometimes stress got in our way to experience excessive dryness of hair. Also, a poor diet affects the looks of the hair. For instance, our scalps tend to flake and cause a massive amount of dullness to coat the hair. To avoid hair dryness, you can use an avocado hair mask. Aside from improving the texture of hair, it helps restore moisture to the scalp and even the inner layer of hair follicles. When this happened, avocado enables protection for your hair and a healthier look.

To make a black tea hair mask, brew some black tea, and let it cool off. When it is lukewarm, pour some tea on your hair and leave for 10 minutes. Afterward, wash your hair and see it shining like a diamond.

Raw Eggs

When we say eggs, we are talking about the raw eggs. The egg yolk is rich in fats and proteins, which are useful to moisturize your hair. At the same time, the white part of the eggs contains bacteria eating enzymes that remove unwanted oils. I am using egg yolks in some of my beauty routines. But let us focus now on the egg hair mask.

rwegsaeer

To make a hair mask from eggs, identify if your hair is dry, oily, or average. If it is reasonable, you can use the entire egg—no need to separate the yolks and whites. But if you have dry hair, you can only use the egg yolks, and for oily hair, the egg whites are useful as a treatment.

After taking a bath, blend a half cup of egg, depending on your hair type. Then apply it to your clean and damp hair. If you have more areas to cover, prepare, and add some egg mixtures. Make sure your scalp and entire hair are included with it. Then leave for 20 minutes and rinse with fresh water afterward. Clean your hair with shampoo, so no egg residues remain in your hair. The egg hair mask can be done only once a month.

Dairy Products (Yogurt)

ygurtwsdfAnother food that you can use as a hair mask is the dairy products. The yogurt, for instance, has healing ingredients that can repair damage to your hair. And what is exciting about this is you can apply this for all hair types, especially when you have curly hair. Protein in yogurt can enhance natural curls.

To prepare the yogurt hair mask, get half cup yogurt. Make sure you will use plain yogurt for your hair mask. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. Then followed by freshwater before applying shampoo as you usually do while taking a bath. Once a week, the treatment of a yogurt hair mask can improve your hair condition and lessen the damage.

Lemon Juice

lmonsdjuice12Natural lemon juice can relieve your itchy scalp. But never use pure lemon juice to your hair. The level of acidity makes your scalp dry, so you should mix it with oil. In my case, I used olive oil with lemon.

To have a lemon hair mask, mix two tablespoons of each: fresh lemon juice, olive oil, and water. Then apply to your hair while massaging to your scalp. Leave it to your hair for 20 minutes. Afterward, rinse and use shampoo to your hair. The use of this mask can be done every other week.

Corn Meal

cornmeal-124004erFabulous hair comes when excessive oil and grease are not present. To have this kind of fantastic hair, you need the cornmeal for a great source of iron that can generate the growth of your hair cells. When enough iron is in the hair follicles, too much oil is a problem to your hair health.

To have the cornmeal mask, you need tablespoon cornmeal. Unlike other hair treatments, this one should be put into an empty salt or pepper shaker and sprinkle to your dry hair. Make sure it reaches the scalp. After 10 minutes, use a hairbrush that will make the cornmeal out to your scalp.

Whatever hair treatment you are going to use, using natural ingredients is the safest and most practical way to make your hair healthier. A chemical-free hair mask can make improvements to your hair.

If you want to achieve your goal in the time frame you set, you will need to list down the foods to avoid before a workout. Make sure that you opt for fruit as your snack instead of junk foods and flavored drinks. It is essential because if you are eating some foods that make you gain more weight and replace all the calories you burned after exercise, you will not see the progress of your performance.

You will keep on saying that even you workout hard, you are not losing weight. Do not blame your gym instructor or the routine you are making. Maybe you should check the foods you are eating before and after your workout. Also, check how many glasses of water you drink to keep you hydrated as you sweat out the body fats. More veggies mean to improve and maximize your strength in completing your routine.

Therefore, it is crucial to know what foods to avoid, just minutes before a workout because it will have a significant role during your workout. This will lead to better fuel your blood with nutrients. Morning meal especially breakfast helps you to prevent discomfort for the whole day session.

XcsfsdvdfvHere are some of the foods to avoid before a workout.

Too much fiber foods

Eating foods rich in fiber is a healthy way of getting yourself to feel satiety. But too much fiber is not suitable for your body before a workout. One good example of a food that you need to avoid is flaxseeds.

Flaxseeds are the best source of fiber, but too much of it can develop gas in your stomach. So, getting bloated before a workout should be avoided. However, if you are in a diet full of fiber, you should eat 2 hours before and after a workout.

Other foods to avoid before exercising are bran, high-fiber bread and fiber supplements. Instead, eat foods rich in protein and carbohydrates. Just enough to make you feel nearly full so your energy will be used especially when doing sports, not for digesting the food.

Energy Drinks

Energy drinks are one of the misconceptions for food to intake before a workout. Why? Because energy drinks contain more sugar than other beverages, but excluding sodas. Though our body needs sugar as a source of energy, the food we are eating contains sugar, which our bodies stored if we are going to do some exercises.

So refrain from drinking energy drinks instead choose beverages that will keep you hydrated for the whole day.

Carbohydrates that are Hard to Digest

Not all carbohydrates can be digested easily. Some of the foods rich in carbohydrates are not easily digested.

You do not want to be exposed to this kind of situation during a workout, so better stay away from dairy products.

Salty Foods

Hard-Boiled Eggs

Avoiding hard-boiled eggs before a workout will save you from carbohydrates and protein that you cannot use. Before exercise, it is essential to have foods that provide a good source of carbohydrates and protein.

However, hard-boiled eggs do not contribute to your workout. Instead, you have to avoid this kind of food so you can get the best results of your exercise.

If you are experiencing heartburn before a workout, you should skip your schedule at the gym. Because, when you are in this state, workout and exercises can only worsen your heartburn. So it is better to skip spicy foods before hitting the gym.

Delicacies

Of course, another food source of sugar are delicacies like muffin and protein bars. Do not be conceived when someone told you that treats are free from sugar and low carbohydrates. Sometimes, these labels can be tricky and affect the judgment of your choice.

For instance, muffins have too much butter and oil, which can make your stomach feel empty quickly. So the tendency is you are going to eat something every once in a while.

The protein bars on the hand contain lots of sugar like candies. You should not go after the labels of ‘more protein less sugar’ or ‘ 0% calories’ — these advertisements about foods to avoid before a workout should be watched closely.

Caffeine Drinks

you have to avoid foods rich in caffeine

Other beverages have lots of sugar especially juice and smoothie. But also you have to avoid foods rich in caffeine. Lots of sugar and dairy always accompany coffee and other drinks with high caffeine percentage. Milk tea, for instance, is one of the beverages with caffeine and lots of sugar and coffee. A cup of caffeinated drink will make you dehydrated faster than normal people do.

However, you can still consumed the recommended caffeine in a day to get the health benefits. With the right amount of it, you can prevent the feeling of fatigue and do not lose hydration.

rice cakes are foods to avoid before workoutRice Cakes

Asian’s most common foods are rice cakes. When the celebration comes, rice cakes are always present on the table, causing you extra sugar and carbs.

You must consult with your doctor for medicals advice before taking any diet or supplements for your health. Self-medication has no assurance of you getting in good shape. Home remedies might be taken for temporary relief if you are experiencing symptoms of Celiac disease. But over time, you have to go and see your doctor.

To prevent severe further digestion problems, make sure to observe your meal plan daily. Avoid harmful foods with lots of oil and preservatives. Look for natural and organic foods. Make sure to drink plenty of water and have a good rest so that your body will have enough energy for your daily routines.

Eating Avocado, Enjoying and Living Healthy Life

Eating-Avocado

Eating avocado, like other fruits, gives you the most necessary nutrients that your body should have. When it comes to food preparation, avocado is a versatile food. You can have different exciting recipes, which you may find each odd. But, even it may look strange; it is still an enjoyable way of healthy living.

Eating avocado allows your body to be fit and in good shape. Though avocado may look boring from the outside, you will be amazed at the yummy taste of its flesh. The delicious avocado is also known as “alligator pear” or “butter pear.” The names come from the outside physical characteristics of avocado—bumpy, green, and pear shape. But the inside of it, you will find the yellow-green flesh and in between is a single huge seed.

Does avocado look like a complicated fruit? Well, it is not complicated to eat an avocado. But, you still need to be careful in choosing the quality of an avocado.

As you can see, determining ripe and fresh avocados can be tricky. Avocados do not ripen on the tree unlike other fruits, and the color of the skin of some varieties will not change. For instance, a variety of avocado when ripen will change its color from dark-green to darkest shade of purple. But if you want to know if an avocado is ripe, then you should not base it only from the color of its skin. Other varieties may tell you that it’s ripe when you can feel its softness with your fingers. But to be sure, the preference should be both the color and feel of the avocado.

Why do we need fresh avocados?

The taste of fresh avocado is far different from those that have been damaged and overripe—which are rancid. Want to make sure that you will get fresh avocados? Just compare the color and choose those with darker skins over lighter skins. Make sure that there are no dents and hollows on the surface. It might be a sign of bruising inside. Then, check the firmness of avocado by gently pressing your fingertips on the skin without pinching. The firmness or softness of avocados has different stages—Firm not yet ripe, almost ripe, ready to eat and overripe.

So take a good look of your avocados before purchasing some. When you eat avocados daily, it should always be of good quality. It is the key to enjoy avocado recipes any time of the day.

But if you opt to ripen your avocado, it can be possible. For unripe avocados, wrap it with a brown paper bag with an apple or banana. These two fruits are useful to speed up the ripening process of avocados.

Once your avocado is ripe, you can still store it for additional shelf life. Avocado in cut and uncut forms can be stored in an airtight container. For fresh cut avocados, you can sprinkle lemon or any acidic agent to keep the flesh from turning brown. You can store uncut ripe avocados in the refrigerator for a maximum of three days. The temperature in the refrigerator can slow down the ripening process. So if you want to delay the ripening process, place unripe avocados in your refrigerator.
